Foxy Girl

Here she is. Theres two of her the other has her tail in front. More work than I thought. She comes from a child like image from a book that was never made. Would like to try more amalgams of the human/fauna mash. Shes red tweed, vintage print cotton, Flesh felt and charcoal grey tweed like fabric. Hope you like. ZeusLabel

The folks from Zeuslabel felt a touch of there name sake with heavy rains filling the canvas roof with 30 cm of water, Still the peps showed up (to the oct 23 market) and seemed to be enjoy the show, Had a few new design based mainly round the fox theme. Introducing!! Fox Girl see next post and fox trophy. Being Having fun with felt this week so with the help from my friend@s crochet skills felted a neck warmer. Can be seen in front left in mustard. Ah also two little Fly agaric pin cushions. Will get them up here when the weather brings forth some good photographic light. See you later.

Here the pics from last week's market in Nottingham city. That's about 5 that I have done. Only now am I get to know the rhythm of the day, and what to take. Good to see some old and new face's. You can also see what new fun I've been get up to as my alluring 1950 card woman is shown crochet. Don't know were this is going but it fills the cold nights. later-s.

soft skulls

Some more experiments in to the sport of printing. Kind of like Andy Warhol thou not my intention. Magenta-red and black acrylic screen print skulls with felt eyes, teeth and high lights. About 60cm long. Felt side strip.

Cute little folk owl's

Was so pleased with these little owl's. The printing was a wee bit of a pain but once it was put together they had a good feel about them. The pic's don't seem to pick that up. More print's to come I think. Being asked to do a skull cushion so have already started work on that. Enjoy.

More stag's

Some new stag heads, Being trying some new fabric out, and still trying to make the most of the design. Being trying to find new out lets for these little baby's. Will give the deer's a brake for a week or so, fancy trying some printing.

Here we have some more Stag head's just trying to refine the design. The top pic is of the trophy's at the design circus in west Bridgford Nottingham. Also been trying out new sizes from baby to grand. Will post them at a latter date. Enjoy.

Retro fishing

New design based on the puffin with a bit more sparkle, Retro print and vintage fabric. felt birs. A lot of time and energy went into this also trying to think of way's to fix the bird into space rather than having it in some pattern air. Still cool to work on.

Rainbow drop

I was really pleased with the out come of this little cushion, it holds alot of element's of the Zeuslabel, Even thou its of a simple design. A mix of 70-80s graphic logo's and a feeling of childhood hood fun maybe.

Call me Ishmael

Ishmael's White Whale, White sperm whale with a embroidered back panel of ship and harpoon. Was made as a poetic nod to Moby Dick and all that it represents. Felt. printed cotton- 25cm long.

New deer head's

Here's a couple of new deer head's larger than the old one's still in the old nursery fabric. About 50cm from base to tip of antler.

Here's some thing's from 2009 , the rabbit was one of the first designs I worked on, Would love to go back to doing some fresh toys like this.

Here are some image's from the craft fair at the Art Org on sat Feb 13th. This was my first craft fair so was nerves but went pretty
good. Gave me a much need energy boost to do some more crafting.

Cloud based on a graffiti piece I did with a friend in 2009. Nice cheeky image. Felt, Silver Nylon, thread and Button's.

Deer trophy

Here's the original deer head trophy which has gone on to a couple of new deer's to date. The main fabric is cool vintage child's bed cover with childhood fairy tale's. There's a fair amount of symbolism but mainly irony in these head. Fairly difficult to make to one of my most esteemed.
